Privacy Policy
PCL-NEXT is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, or the original PCL maintainers. Online sign-in is handled directly by Microsoft and Xbox services; this project does not operate a login server.
1. Scope
This policy covers the PCL-NEXT Community Launcher application and the static project website at
pclnext.tncrr.us.kg. It explains what information is stored locally,
what is sent to third-party services, and what this project does not collect.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your Microsoft password. The launcher never asks for it.
- We do not receive or store your Microsoft, Xbox, or Minecraft access tokens on this website.
- We do not include telemetry, analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts in the current build.
- We do not create user accounts, sell personal information, or share data with data brokers.
- We do not upload your game files, mods, worlds, or local launcher configuration.
3. Data stored on your computer
The launcher stores configuration, logs, caches, account metadata, and authentication tokens in its local launcher folder. Tokens are kept in encrypted launcher settings. Local data remains on your computer until you delete it or remove the launcher folder.
Local offline profiles and game files are handled entirely on your computer. Offline profiles do not contact Microsoft or Minecraft authentication APIs.
4. Microsoft and Xbox authentication
If you choose Microsoft sign-in, the launcher uses Microsoft's device-code OAuth flow. You complete sign-in in your browser, and Microsoft returns tokens to the launcher. The launcher then exchanges those tokens through Xbox Live, XSTS, and Minecraft Services to verify that your account owns Minecraft and to obtain your player profile.
These tokens are stored locally and are used only to launch the game and refresh your session. They are not sent to this website or to the PCL-NEXT maintainers. The Entra application is a public client and does not use a client secret.
5. Static website and service logs
This website at pclnext.tncrr.us.kg is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The launcher's
separate update and notice endpoints at pclnextserver.tncrr.us.kg are also static
files hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising on these pages.
Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address, user agent, requested URL,
and timestamp) to deliver content, protect the service, and maintain reliability, in accordance with
Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
6. Third-party services
The launcher may contact third-party services that you choose to use, including Microsoft identity and Xbox services, Mojang/Minecraft Services, GitHub, Modrinth, CurseForge, and public Minecraft download mirrors. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. This project does not control their data practices.
If you configure the optional AI assistant, the launcher sends the launch error and limited system information to the API endpoint you provide. This request is initiated by you, and the selected AI provider's privacy policy applies. The PCL-NEXT maintainers do not receive or store that request.
7. Security
Authentication tokens are stored locally in encrypted launcher settings and are not included in logs. You should protect access to your computer and Microsoft account, keep the launcher updated, and review the public source code if you have security concerns.
8. Children
The project is not directed at children under 13. Minecraft account eligibility and parental consent requirements are governed by Microsoft and Mojang.
9. Your choices
- Sign out in the launcher to remove the active account session.
- Delete the launcher's local folder to remove local settings, logs, caches, and tokens.
- Use a local offline profile if you do not want to use Microsoft sign-in.
- Contact us with privacy questions at [email protected].
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the launcher's data handling changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
